| The "Dan's Thrift Store/Family Drugs Center" building is on the corner of St. Claude and St. Roch Ave. in Bywater, across from the St. Roch Market. The building has been several different businesses in the past half century, and there are reminders of all of them in the building's layers of paint, writing, signs, and tiles. In the '50's, it was Marquer's Pharmacy, then became Family Drug Center from the '60's until the late '80's when it became a discount furniture store. Dan's Thrift Store has been closed for several years now. |
